The Academies are comprehensive Tech Prep Completer Programs in the Anne Arundel County Public School System that respond to the employment needs of industry. All Academy courses are infused with reading, mathematics, science, writing and technology, as well as oral communications and problem-solving skill development. In addition to the Academy curriculum, the students also participate in an industry-specific paid internship, a college course, industry field trips, job shadowing, and guest speaker presentations.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools has five different Academies: The Academy of Finance (AOF), The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT), The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT), The Academy of Legal Studies (ALS), and the Academy of Teaching Professions.
